External Structure
All Garden haze offices contain a concealed steel structure fixed in place with stainless steel bolts giving inherently long lasting structural strength.
Our aluminium frames and panels will not crack, warp or discolour, minimising maintenance and maximising security over a long lifetime of service. The panels are energy efficient with excellent noise attenuation due to a Polyfoam backing. They have been tested in accordance with BS 5368 parts 1, 2 and 3. They have also been classified for weather proof resistance as defined in BS 6375: 1989
Our powder coated paint finishes are guaranteed for 25 years and carry BBA and GSB approval. Matt finish as standard with options including satin, gloss and metallic.
Roof Construction
Timber frame with 18 mm OSB3 covering for a moisture resistant and durable surface. OSB board is certified to FSC standards. The production method ensures consistent strength with no voids or distortion.
'Eco Therm PR80' high performance insulation to 80mm depth between rafters giving U values Of 0.23, equivalent to twice the depth of mineral filling. Eco Therm guarantee this insulation value for a minimum 10 years. EPDM roof surface is frost and rot proof and will not shrink, crack or lift over time. Conforms to DIN 4102 parts 1 & 7 (Fire resistance class B2). Independent accelerated weathering tests on the Self-Adhesive EPDM (equal to 20 years) on 18 years in service samples showed negligible deterioration, extrapolation from these tests indicate a potential life of 90 years.
Glazing & Doors
All our glazing units are made from advanced performance low E glass for energy savings and toughened for safety and security. The 'Solstop' reflective outer coating ensures high levels of natural light without overheating.
Our high performance windows and doors contain an integral polyamide thermal break meeting the very latest standards set in Part L of the building regulations. Opening windows have locking handles and releasable restrictors. Doors have three point frame locking and a clear 850mm opening as standard. The low threshold doorframe is designed to allow open access to wheelchair users.
Internal Fixtures
Electric and data points are fixed around the office in 'President' dado or skirting trunking
giving a smooth and versatile cable management system that can be easily added to or adjusted asrequired. All sockets and cabling are of commercial quality and connected to an RCD Consumer unit.
Adjustable, brushed nickel, low voltage, 50W dichroic halogen, fire protection downlights are set in to a hygienic plank effect wipe clean UPVC ceiling.
Floor
The internal solid screed floor contains an under floor electric cable heating system with
programmable thermostat. Thermal tilebacker boards ensure maximum heating efficiency and a faster warm up time. The system we use is BEAB approved. With an approximate running cost of between £4.10 -£7.00 per square metre per annum this is a more efficient option than any other form of electric heating and will often be cheaper than running a radiator system. The space saved by avoiding bulky wall mounted systems is an extra bonus too. |
